I haven't checked this, but I think he is (or was) currently the longest tenured active head coach at Bucknell.

Yes, he became head coach in 1999 following three seasons as an assistant. Kevin Donner became head track/xc coach in 2001 and is the second ranking head coach. Frank Fedorjaka has been at Bucknell since 1999 (and also in the early 90's), but has only been head coach since 2006.
Soccer (like lacrosse) has only had two head coaches in the last 54 years.

Not worth a separate thread, but I attended the women’s soccer game yesterday. What a joy to see games in person again.

Nice! Any extra rules associated with attendance?

No extra rules. Same as pre-COVID, and not a mask in sight (except mine, when I used the restroom).

I was able to watch a couple games during the spring. Theoretically the crowd was limited to students, faculty, and parents then - but in reality there was no restricted admission on the side with the low bleachers and the sun. I doubt there was much security in the grandstand area either, but I didn't check since I greatly prefer the other side anyway.
Looking forward to seeing a few games this year - in a number of sports.

Conversely, Penn State is set to welcome 107,000 fans into Beaver Stadium in a few weeks.

Men's soccer announced the new head coach: former Navy coach Dave Brandt.
Bucknell names Dave Brandt head men's soccer coach
Brandt is a tremendous coach who quickly rebuilt a terrible Navy program into a PL contender. He has coached at three colleges: D3 powerhouse Messiah, Navy, and Hope College (Michigan), which he built into a strong program. Collectively his overall record is 354-86-40. He also coached the Pittsburgh Riverhounds of the USL for a couple of years.
He can definitely coach and is reportedly a dynamic personality. I think the question mark(s) relate to recruiting and age. Brandt is 59. Will that be an issue? Also he has never coached at a school with traditional scholarships or traditional D1 recruiting issues. How will he recruit in what is a new landscape? (Bucknell for the first time is now allowing a limited number of scholarships - but recruiting still involves need-based aid and convincing players/parents to pay some of the cost.)
Also one other issue might be the huge cultural differences between Bucknell and the other three places he has coached. Messiah and Hope College are Christian schools. And Navy of course is very different.
Hopefully he can recreate some of the success he has had elsewhere and coaches for at least a decade at Bucknell.
