Looks like we haven't made our last visit to the polls. Look at the teams right in front of us in the Coaches Poll:

28. N. Iowa....lost by 22 to Bradley
27. UAB....plays Memphis on 3/2 probably a loss
26. Wisconsin....lost by 10ish to Northwestern
25. G. Mason....loset by 11 to Hofstra
24. LSU..hard game wtih Kentucky coming up
23. Georgetown...hard game with Syracuse coming up
behind us

30. Nevada,....plays at 2nd best WAC team Utah State
31. Colorado...lost to Nebraska
32. Marquette..@ND and @Louisville coming up...bad road team

So as you can see...if we take care of our business (ie: beat Armay at home twice...and beat Lafayette/American at home) its hard to believe that we won't find the rankings in two weeks at the latest.

There is an outside shot we could get in the AP this Monday. We would need Nevada to lose to Utah St and Marquette to lose to ND specifically. That may do the trick. UAB is behind us in the AP I believe, so they likely won't jump us. However, do we really want the rankings "distraction" going into the PL Tourney?

Then again, a ranking helps solidify the at-large case. But, Andy Katz, Gregg Doyel, Yoni Cohen, and several other "experts" all seem to have VERY positive takes on our at-large shot right now.

Exactly. Who needs it? Rankings are meaningless in college hoops (there isn't a copy in the committee room as far as I am aware), and can only serve as a distraction.

Nevada and Marquette won, so we won't be ranked Monday.

I agree...probably looking at a 26 in at least one poll. If we take care of business next weekend...we will be in for the PL Finals.

Narrowly missed the Coaches Poll this week -- we are ranked "27th" behind Nevada.
