Iona favored by 8.5.
Unless missing bigs are ready to return we’ll see how Harvard’s smaller lineup fares against a taller squad.

Had hoped to attend but won’t make it today.

Good Luck!

Good start, but 2 fouls on Catchings in four minutes with no real bench.

Ledlum and Kirkwood looking to drive.

Up 46-44 at half. Solid effort in 1sr half. Kirkwood and Ledlum feel like the two best players on the court.

Tretout and Catchings both with 3 fouls at half. Short bench means this will be a problem until the bigs get back. Wojcik had a couple of nice steals and drew a charge. Friedman with 7. Quiet 1st half from Lesmond and Sakota.

Kinda nice to watch them with a short bench.

Why isn’t Tretout playing?
Only 4 fouls

What an exciting game. Kirkwood was outstanding. Hard to overcome 23+ turnovers. I feel like I spent the last 24 hours with the Wójcik family. It will be fun to see the two play against each other.

Great effort by the team.

Way too many turnovers--didn't handle the press well initially and then a little sloppy in the first ten minutes of the second half.

We may have found a point guard.

Still worried about the size in the middle.

But really pleased with the effort.

Iona employed a full court press the entire game. Wojik with only 2 TO's in 37 minutes really protected the ball. It might also have been that the better defenders were on Kirkwood, Tretout, Sakota and Ledlum though. Regardless, I was frustrated as Tommy sat Tretout for most of the game, but I now see that he had 5 TO's in 20 minutes. Tretout is a much better offensive weapon (9 pts in 20 minutes) than Wojcik (6 pts in 37 minutes), but yesterday we needed someone to break the press and play like a true PG. On the season, Tretout has 20 points in 48 minutes, with 3 assits and 8 TO's, whereas Wojcik is at 8pts in 52 min with 3/2 A/TO.

Nice to see Freedman have a role. It seems to me that Tommy is looking for opportunities to rest others and insert Spencer when the opposing lineup presents an opportunity to protect Spencer's defensive weakness. He scored 7 points in 11 minutes, but did have 2 TO's. One was when he penetrated but then had to pick up his dribble as he couln't get to the rim. Spencer did make every shot he attempted (1 basket, 1 '3', and 2-2 FT's).

Couldn't believe we were facing Rick Pitino down the stretch with Freedman, Silverstein, Wojik and Sakota on the floor. Iona just kept feeding their bigs, who shot 67% on the day, seemingly all at the rim. With Mason and/or Justice it would have been much different.

Was just looking back at the stats and play by play. Sakota's 3 to tie it was the only made 3 by either team in the second half. Kind of wild.

Ledlum's ability get to the rim is key. If we can shoot the three to keep defenses honest, he can be a real game changer.

We're going small and not making 3's: 13 for 47 (27.6%)

Not a good combination

Freedman is 3-5!
Others: 10-42 = 23.8%
