Has Bucknell ever scored 100 or more and lost before tonight?

Almost. The previous highest losing score in program history:
George Mason 101
Bucknell 99

Davis Gym, Dec 1, 1993

That's really impressive. The Cornell game went to OT and was "only" 83-83 in regulation. Despite his defensive struggles, it was Muscala's first 20 point game at Bucknell.

Funk's 38 points, btw, is the 11th best scoring game in Bison history. He also had 76 points in seven days. I wonder how many BU players have done better in a one-week span.

Looking back, I see that Bison team had three games where they scored 90+ points and lost. Also had a 110-108 win over Colgate.

Screen is in a boot. That's one thing this team doesn't need.

Also not good - a month subscription to the streaming service for the today's and tomorrow's games is $30! Considering their app has all of 2.6 stars think I'll be passing.

Timmerman is going to be spinning like a top with Mercer's 3 seniors coming at him. This is going to be a tough one. I hope Bucknell wins but I see a 78-63 win by Mercer.

Here's a question for long-time fans. The Bison starting lineup the other night had heights of 7-0, 6-9, 6-6, 6-5, and 6-3. Average height of exactly 6-7.

I believe that is the tallest lineup ever fielded by Bucknell. Can't think of a taller one for any PL team. Can anyone think of a taller Bison lineup?

Bison down five at the half. Screen is out; Timmerman has 10 pts, 3 RBs in 14 minutes and 0 fouls. Funk has 11;

Rider lost to Middle Tennessee, so the Bison need to pull this out unless they want to face Rider again.

Meanwhile re: Screen, the ILL ST announcers completely missed the fact that he came out late in the first limping badly. He came back to play, but was obviously hobbled in the 2nd. That announcer team did not pick up on it until he was shown on screen with his foot wrapped in ice after fouling out.

Not happy to see Screen hurt, hopefully it is not a long-term thing. I had to look at the stats three times to be sure I read Timmerman’s line correctly. 22 points on 10-12 shooting with 8 boards. Nice game from him, did not see that coming. Unfortunately, too many players with minimal contributions.

Timmerman is getting better and better each game. I knew he was going to do well but didn't want to jinx him.

Did the message board get moved and nobody let me on to it? I'm not that bad of a guy. I'll change my ways. Have I been ghosted?

*crickets*

There is a game going on right now folks

listening to "Bingo" Birdsong, we trailed at one time 14-2...now 44-33 the Bison lead at the end of first half. Screen not playing, Andoh played a little hit a 3.

A definite “coulda/ shoulda” game.?Followed on game tracker. We scored our 73rd point with about 5 and a half minutes left and led by two. We did not score again until there were :40 left and we were down 7.

A quick look at the stats three things stand out: 16 turnovers, allowing 13 offensive rebounds, and a more typical 32% 3-pt shooting percentage (with Funk back to reality.) I think these will be issues all year.

Is Andoh hurt? Or does Davis see Motta as the better player? Timmerman doing more than what should be expected but need Screen back. Lack consistent inside presence, imo. We also have difficulty limiting penetration.

Adoh recovering from some undisclosed illness. Once he is recovered, I doubt Motta will take many of his minutes, as Adoh brings more to the table.

A few random observations.

1. Funk played 36 minutes on consecutive days. No wonder his shooting was a little off today.
2. Rhodes had 5 fouls in 7 minutes. Adoh had 3 in 4 minutes played.
3. Rice was 16-16 from the FT line in the two games.
4. If Funk, Rice, VDH, and Edmonds ever start hitting 3's in the same game, watch out.
5. Big Tim was 14-18 FGs for the two games.
