That was a scary-looking injury. I thought he might have been kneed really hard back there at first, but the way he walked off on the shoulders of his teammates was discouraging.

Must learn to come out of the shoot from minute one. Difference between mens and womens team is 40 minutes of defense by Carla's group vs. Mitch's group. Before the game, Noah is talking about how great a shooting team that Princeton is. Always a lot of talk about offense vs. defense.

Carla was beaming with joy in her conversation with Price that the women only shot 25% in the 1st half against Harvard yet Tigers had a 9 pt lead at half time and then held the Crimson to 1 to 15 shooting in the 3rd quarter. I realize that it is easier to defend in the women's game but Carla has a different philosophy/strategy than Mitch until the Princeton men get punched in their mouth like the 1st half this evening. Defense is technique for sure but definitely attitude and effort.

Good news was that Jaelin was walking after the game but somewhat gingerly. They obviously need him.

Wow! What a turn around. Amazing how when the shots start to fall, everything else falls into place. Fingers crossed that Jaelin is ok.

Allocco looking more and more confident at both ends of the court. Very nice handle, and slick around the hoop.

Turned on the game and we were behind about 10 points. After that Columbia stopped scoring while we were showing some slick game. I loved the times when Columbia came down the court only to be stripped leading to another score for us. Tosan seemed to score at will inside. It appeared that Mitch may have taken a few lessons from the women about team defense.

The dependence of this team on getting turnovers from the opponent is remarkable (and a bit unnerving). They don't have a plethora of perimeter defenders who can bother drivers, and often play small so that they can be posted up. But winning the turnover battle 18-8 covers a multitude of sins.

Could not tell if Jaelin had a hamstring, knee, or something else injury when he first came off the court. It did seem weight bearing at first but he was walking at the end of the game talking to Mitch while pointing to the back of his leg just below the knee.

You would think that he will be sitting out tomorrow night, at least, but you never know.

Focus should be on the long-term and let Jaelin be healthy enough to pay at 100%. They cannot afford to lose Tosan, Wright or Jaelin but they have more back up at guard. They also need to get Kellman on the floor.

Where was Kellman tonight? Because when he plays they have the closest to a real starting five since I can remember? Good second half comeback though...

I agree that they definitely could use Kellman on the court and last night was a great example. Friberg is just too small as a PF although he does play very hard on defense.

In a perfect world, Tosan would play PF like Maddox did when the Tigers had Connally/Darrow as Centers. Hummer, a leaper, played SF although he could rebound. Game is different now but Tigers have an absence of good big men and you need players with size if they somehow would get to the Big Dance. A healthy Kellman would certainly help.

It is unfortunate that Hooks is not ready to get more playing time, paired with Tosan until Kellman gets healthy although it may happen tonight if Jaelin is out with an injury.

Assuming Jaelin is a no go, it will interesting to see if they start Hooks or Alloco. Against an uptempo Cornell I’m guessing Alloco.

This injury is going to expose the Tigers’ lack of guard depth, unless someone like Blake Peters matures very quickly.

Maybe the Tigers lack guard depth, but maybe you’ve just got 3 really good seniors and that takes up so many minutes that you don’t know much about the kids behind them.

What’s the deal with Garrett Johnson? My vague memory is that word was that he would be in the rotation. Will he play this year?

I think some Elijah Barnes run is also likely.
