Read the Penn board for a few chuckles. All of a sudden Donohue can neither recruit nor coach. But despite his ineptitude nary a word of praise for a gutty win, although some grumbles that we lucked out because we got away with some non-calls. And of course, our inability to hit free throws was mentioned. From my perspective if we can go from 50% to 70 % from the free throw line we would win a lot more games.
The narrative that Donahue can’t recruit has been out there a long time. I think you’re just reading with greater interest this weekend.
That certainly was a gutty win. The Quakers tied it a couple of times, and maybe things would have been different if they took a lead. But the Lions weathered the storm each time.
