They weathered the scoring drought and found their stroke again. Funny how getting to the line - even if you miss a few - always seems to get the offense going. That's why I firmly believe we beat Monmouth with Tosan.
Let's close this out... I think Dingle may have some big shots left to make.

It's so nice to have Jaelin back. Just so elite at getting to the rim at will off the dribble

Little shaky against the Penn press, but Langborg and Allocco putting FTs in to get it back to a 10 point lead with 24 seconds to play

Good win! Always nice to beat Penn, and I thought the defense was very encouraging today.
Really nice bounce back game from Ethan Wright, who I thought struggled with the Kino Lilly matchup against Brown. Nice to have Jaelin back, and Allocco and Johns provided some really nice contributions today

Slow, anti-climactic ending but that was a great team win. The play that truly sealed it was Wright's steal/block on Dingle followed by his 3 right after.
To my eyes, Jaelin only went about 80% speed (gotta watch the hammy), but we don't win without him. Also: Allocco is a really good decision-maker. He doesn't have Jaelin's handles/speed, but there were like 4 times where he made the right call in a tough spot.

Agreed, really nice team win. Jaelin played limited minutes and Tosan was contained but the supporting cast all stepped up and made a contribution, including Max Johns, when they needed it. Also, FTs were 14-17 and the defense was good for long stretches, which we have not been able to count on this season.

It looked to my like Tosan was guarding Slajchert quite a bit in the second half--kind of a realignment to stop those in the lane floaters.

A la Kareem Maddox, Tosan has been matched on some guards for stretches. When they use the 1-3-1, it's often Tosan on top as the chaser.

Just got to watch the game. (And did it without seeing any spoilers.)
Excellent performance on the whole. The team defense (in both games, actually) was a little better this week, even if some of these players are vulnerable to post-ups and drives individually. Llewellyn not 100% but still deadly, Allocco holding up his end, Tosan having to adjust to the physical play and lack of calls and making plays on both ends, and the three wing musketeers collectively getting it done. Wright, especially, was back in the mode of making timely plays shooting, rebounding, and defending.

Four TO's each by Tosan and Langborg. Tosan mostly travel calls. Langborg made a few cringeworthy passes that were picked off.

Quite honestly, he had a few more that were not even called, including two of his baskets before even those officials could not longer turn a blind eye to the travels. Tosan is obviously very talented but his walks are very bold and blatant.

So many many fouls were not called during that game on both sides as stated multiple times by Noah Savage but I would hope that you realize that is not the reasons why the Quakers lost but it is a good excuse for sure.

Yes, the impartial Noah Savage. Muted the game as soon as I saw who the announcers were.
Sorry, Tigers, we have the receipts--his track record speaks for itself.
Penn was the more aggressive and physical team on offense in the early going, plain and simple. They had zero to show for it from the officials. They got pummeled this way by Columbia in their loss and they deservedly racked up plenty of foul calls as a result, which did not help their cause.
Nothing I've said about this game in any post refers to the officials being the main reason for the game's outcome. However, looking at the noted foul discrepancy in favor of Princeton well into the later stages of the first half would have given anyone a very skewed view of the actual situation on the court.

Sounds like a true Quaker fan. At the end of the day, more talented team at hone tends to win. Homecourt is certainly an advantage, always has been.

Penn has plenty of problems as it is.
It didn't need the early officiating to make it worse.

I like the “Euro step”. Apparently they haven’t heard of it yet down Philadelphia way. But, that doesn’t matter — the world is already stacked against all that is Penn.
