O’Brien on the bench entire 2nd qtr. Krsul played 1 minute in the first half. Mind boggling. Walls also Sat a good bit of first half, but she had two fouls.

Krsul got in for one minute, gave up a basket, and was immediately subbed out. There has to be something more there, as she normally is a good defender who gives good energy. And O'Brien was subbed out at the first quarter media timeout and didn't return until the third quarter. Neither was in foul trouble.

Final score: Bucknell 61, Colgate 41. Collins with another big game: 14 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists, and 4 steals. Krsul, despite playing only a few seconds in the first half, ended up with 8 points and 5 rebounds. All eleven Bison who played got into the scoring column.

As to the playing time thing, Colgate has only won a couple games. Maybe it was just about giving the non-starters more court time. As someone who sat on the very, very end of the bench on my high school team, I’m all in on that. :-)

That definitely wasn't it. They were benched in the middle of the first quarter of a close game. He yanked Krsul 40 seconds after she entered, and he didn't play O'Brien for 15 straight minutes in a close game. Neither was in any foul trouble. There was more to it than that.
I'm all for giving playing time to the subs - but not early in a close game that could be losable. Both played most of the second half btw.

Ok, reading between the lines of Coach Woodruff’s postgame comments I think provides the answer. He said that in the first half a few of our players were playing like the didn’t want to be out there or were not ready to play. That’s a paraphrase, and he did not connect it to sitting anybody,( which btw he wasn’t asked about) but obviously he saw something that bothered him and benched a couple of stars.
Btw Taylor and Carly were dynamite in the second half, along with the amazing Cecilia Collins. This is where the action is this year guys, not the men.
