This game could not have started out worse. After an endless bus ride, Dartmouth could not hit a shot. The Lions raced to a 10-2 lead, getting anything they wanted on the offensive end. Two deep threes from Kristowiak woke Dartmouth from its slumber. Three straight bombs from Wade plus Columbia turnovers gave the green a five-point half-time lead

The second half was the Aaron Rai show. Rai hit six consecutive shots showcasing everything in his repertoire. He also shut down Columbia's big on the defensive end despite giving up four or 5 inches. Samuels broke down his defender off the dribble, Barry showed clever moves in the lane. Adelekun was a force inside on both ends. It was as good a half as Dartmouth has played in years.

The only downside was the knowledge that if Dartmouth had played like that in a few other contests, they would be in position for their first ever ivy madness. But hope springs eternal
