As Brown now tries to run off seven in a row to sneak into the tournament, will be interesting to see if there are any lineup changes this weekend. With Friday back I wonder if we’ll see Meren, who appears to warrant more PT. Also not sure we’ll see as much Cowan.
And why have they been so awful on the defensive boards in the in the Ivy thus far? How does that make any sense?

Is more Cowan part of the issue? Better shooting with him in, but better rebounding with Mitchell starting and playing more with Gainey and Choh.

Took a quick look at our DR% in conference play. As you might expect, Choh (23.6%, 3rd best in conference) and Gainey (20%, 8th best in conference) are doing good work on the boards. Mitchell isn't doing poorly either, with 16.4%, which is good for 17th in the league, amongst qualified players, but is also down from 22.3% in 2020. I think that might be part of the issue. Cowan is at 8.7%, which is better than his 3.7% in 2020, so I don't know if it's him.
I think it might actually be the guards at the 1 and 2 that are the problem. In 2020, Zach Hunsaker's DR% was 10.1% and Brandon Anderson's was 9.5%. This season, Lilly is at 6.6%, Friday is at 7.8%, and Ferrari is at 6.2%. I think Friday needs to hit the boards harder, mostly because he has the strength to win some of those battles, or at least influence them. I don't see Ferrari or Lilly increasing their numbers. It will also be interesting to see if Meren can contribute in the rebounding column - he has a DR% of 17.3, albeit having played only 11.3% of our conference minutes.
