Dartmouth women get their first Ivy win of the year, beating Brown in Hanover! The ladies sure seemed happy afterwards!
Also happy to report that my fifth graders got back on the winning track. We were physically better than the other team, but they were better-coached. They were setting picks, running plays, playing disciplined defense. They were ahead at the half, but we eventually wore them down.
And it was my own daughter who iced it. We were up by 1 with 10 seconds to go when they shot and missed. My daughter got the rebound and (per coaches' orders) they fouled her immediately. She goes to the line for the line and looks at me worriedly. Naturally, I look back at her and tell her "Make it!" She makes the first... and makes the second. We win by three!
Here's hoping the men can win as well to give me a perfect Saturday!
