Dartmouth has gone five and a half minutes without scoring. Its offense looks dreadful.

Hard to watch. Barry hit his first two from deep but has missed the next 5 (?). Nobody else is at all a threat to score.

Now over 8 minutes without scoring.

Just awful--this is a team that still had a shot at the ILT? Not playing very inspired ball.

Finally, D hears the wake up bell.

Now a very different team playing with a lot more energy and fluidity.

Yale will probably win this.

Shot selection very questionable at times by D from distance, Barry looking like Jerome during the Florida NCAA Tourney trying to launch from way, way out.

Surprising close game in Hanover. Dartmouth 3 pt shooting did them in although D deserves a lot of credit playing max effort.

Yale's offense seems choppy, i.e. turnovers.

It took too long for Dartmouth to get into it. An 8+ minute first half scoreless streak (and truly bleak, no FT attempts) and they were fortunate to get back within striking distance. Although never really got over the hump.

Not a clean win by any means, but Yale covered the spread and won on the road, and it's hard to complain about that. I have to admit when I'm wrong: Garrison Wade played excellent defense on Gabbidon. Granted, he was a total offensive liability, but he did absolutely cover well.

Yale did a great job on defense, in my view; I would have to go back and check, but it felt like a lot of Dartmouth's points down the stretch came in transition off of bad Yale offense. Barry scored the first 13 points and ended with 13 points, and I think Yale made great adjustments to lock him down.

The Yale offense is going to be what gets them down the stretch if anything does. They have a tendency to commit too many turnovers and fail to finish through contact. Those are fixable problems, but it's absolutely critical that they make their opponents score against their set defense, because that's where their great strength is.

Nonetheless, a conference road win is always nice, and this keeps Yale in the hunt for a title and the one seed.

D was definitely trying to push it whenever they could off of Y turnovers, but for most of the game Y did an excellent job getting back. For a while, it sacrificed offensive board attempts in favor of having a set defense. (Still didn't stop them from eventually dominating those offensive boards anyways, which proved very important in the second half).
