Andrew Funk 2nd team. Had he played for a strong team, I think he could’ve made first team, but playing for an awful team limited his chances.

I agree. Funk should be proud of his season, in any case. As for this list of players, it is interesting that 14/15 players are upperclassmen, with 10 being seniors. I guess PL typically has a lot of upperclassmen, but this seems like a lot even for PL.

Yes, I think that there are more seniors than normal. Looking back at 2019-20, there were 8, and in the two previous years a total of 15.

One factor this year was the NCAA decision to allow players a 5th year. Three of the 15 (Mathon, McCoy, and Beckton) fall into that category, and in a normal year they would have been gone. Two others are also fifth year players who missed a year due to injury (Whyte) or transfer regulations (Cummings). Unfortunately that issue is not going away, as there are three more classes in the pipeline who were given an extra year. Many PL schools will allow it, although Bucknell will not.
