ESPN just brackets the 1st place team in a league like the PL. At this point with 2 survivors that team is AU. We go in as a hot team, but so do they. Frankly imo at this moment these are the two best teams in the league. We will in fact have to bring it all to win this game. Can’t help but think if we had not lost that OT game to Navy inPL game 2, this game would be in Sojka.

Simply got outplayed today by American. Easy layups were the story - the ones we missed and the ones they made. O'Brien and Walls had solid games and Emma Shaffer was terrific. I don't understand why she was on the bench for so long in the 2nd half. Collins disappeared after the first quarter and King didn't get many open looks.

It was a rough end to an up and down season. But even losing O'Brien and Walls, the future looks good for this team.

I wish there was a postseason option for this team because I think they’re competitive with many of the Big 5 schools.

There's a slim, but not zero, chance for a WNIT at-large bid. Won't know until Monday afternoon. With a NET ranking of 100 and RPI of 76, you have to think there's a chance.

Speaking of the future, I don’t recall seeing the usual release about the incoming class. Did I miss it? And if not, do you know if one will be forthcoming?

Career game for Shaffer. Other than the 1 3 pt nothing but net by King there was nothing going on from 3 pt land. Even Taylor’s made 3 in the first half appeared to be way off the mark to me. It glanced high off the backboard and banked in. No way she played it that way.

Still a good season for a “rebuilding” year but I must admit 9-2 ooc raised my hopes for more than they actually accomplished. As for the future it looks bright, but once again the 5 th year policy strikes. Our seniors are gone and they will be missed. But according to the CBS announcers AU has 5 seniors and 4 will be back next year.

Good luck to Taylor and Marly. I really enjoyed watching this team this season.

Here is an update from the esteemed B137 from January. Maybe he can provide an end of season update for all of us.

I am planning to do an update this week. The seasons for some of these players just ended this weekend. As to why there has been no press release, I have no idea. Normally that comes out in November. Sounds like athletic communications has messed up.

Taylor and CeCe both made the all-tournament team.

And Emma had a double double tonight, I believe her first.

This team was exciting to watch. Will there be another shot???

That’s awesome and a real accomplishment for a low major team to achieve. This means the PL has 3 women’s teams in the legit post season
