The Atlantic has a story up which speculates that Carla Berube is on the shortlist of 5 candidates for the Georgia job. Outgoing coach was paid $800k, more than Courtney was pain at UNC.

I'm guessing Kentucky won't allow her to go to the SEC.

Indiana won't want her in the Big 10 either.

Since I subscribe to The Atlantic, I rushed to their website to find the article you referred to. But alas, I could not find it among the usual articles on Ukraine, SCOTUS, racism, and other scourges of our time. So maybe you meant The Athletic?
Anyway, I don't want to read it even if I were to find it on The Athletic, because I'm sure it would make me more depressed than the articles on The Atlantic website.

I'm willing to bet she will have many more opportunities if she wants down the road, and can be as picky as she wants for now. Not seeing Georgia as a great landing spot for her family.

I don’t see it. At a minimum she stays one more year, when she’ll have a good chance at a deep run.

With today’s announcement of C. Vivian Stringer’s retirement, the Rutgers WBB job is open.
A local NJ reporter looks at possible candidates, listing both Courtney Banghart and Carla Berube.

Bad timing. I don't see Banghart jumping--even with Carlie not granted a 5th year, she has a team poised to win the ACC and make a deep run in March.
And Berube will have a better team than if she moves 15 miles north. After Cunningham, Stone and Connolly graduate, perhaps all bets are off.
Rutgers is a fine school academically, but it does not have the same profile as Tufts and Princeton, and until proven otherwise I assume this matters to Coach Berube.

I'm sure it matters some. But money matters to coaches as well.
Triple her salary, and chances are pretty good she'll leave Princeton. See, e.g., Sydney Johnson.

Let's at least let Carla lose a league game before we send her off to greener pastures.

Worth noting that Mel Greenberg has mentioned three Ivy coaches:
http://womhoops.blogspot.com/2022/04/the-guru-repo ...
"While it’s unlikely a male will be hired, two East Coast success stories Big Ten ready are Seton Hall’s Tony Bozzella and Penn’s Mike McLaughlin. Forget bringing Joe McKeown home from Northwestern, he’s with a new deal currently in hand.
It might be difficult to grab Princeton’s Carla Berube, but if money can trump alumni consideration and if wanting a new direction, then Columbia’s Megan Griffith showed how to build. "

You can stop worrying about Carla going to Rutgers any time soon. They just announced the hiring of former Penn St. coach Coquese Washington as their new head coach.

This article confirms Coach Berube was one of the candidates targeted in this search and says Washington was a “below the radar” hire.
