Fran Dunphy, at the age of 73, is coming out of retirement to coach his alma mater La Salle. Most coaches, including Matt Langel, wanted no part of this job. Bad facilities, mediocre financial support, and nine straight losing seasons in the A-10. Ranked #229 in the nation this year, and actually lost to Bucknell. Also 12 players in the transfer portal - although some might have entered earlier. La Salle currently has a financial grade of D from Forbes. (Bucknell is an A+.)
I doubt this will end well for Dunphy, although supposedly La Salle is planning a massive (and costly) renovation of their gym. It opened in 1998 but looks like it was built in 1952.
