I was saddened to learn of the passing of Greg Leggett '90 earlier this week. His brother and sister both posted announcements on Facebook. I have no other details.
Greg set a school record for points in a season (585) his senior year and finished with 1,141 career points which placed him 14th at the time he graduated. He was a 6th man his sophomore and junior years before earning 1st team all-East Coast Conference as a senior. The Bison played in the ECC championship game all 3 years and won the championship in 1989.
I remember him as a fiery competitor who always had a smile off the court. He was just 53 years old. May he rest in peace.

I am very sad to hear this. I remember seeing Greg play countless times. He always played hard and left it all on the court. 1989 was a magical season. I still remember roadtripping 22 hours to Dallas for the Dance. Lifetime memories.
My condolences to Greg's family.
New season, new team, new dream . . . |

That's two players from the 1989 team who've died way too soon. RIP Greg and John.

Thanks for letting us know, DoCtoR62. He was one year below me and, besides being a fine player, he had a good sense of humor too.

My buddies and I, saw most of Greg’s Davis Gym games, he was bulldog type player, 110 % game when on the court… team mates, a who’s who of Bison players,, Bright, Joseph, King, Peyton,, Clark, Olkowki, Leshinki, and a few more, his Senior year… but until this day I still remember how well ,Greg Leggett played in his Bucknell days…
