Here is the Bucknell game notes: https://bucknellbison.com/news/2022/11/14/mens- bas...
I think that this game might tell us a lot about how the Bison could do in the PL regular season.
I should probably jump in my car and drive 90 minutes to see the game in person, but . . . we shall see.
GO BISON!!!

Yes, it should be a good test. Bison are about 3.5 point underdogs.
St. Peter's lost all five starters from the team that made that great run in last year's NCAA. But they have added three starting transfers and a couple good freshmen. They also lost their coach, Shaheen Holloway, to Seton Hall. His replacement is Bashir Mason, who was the HC at Wagner for a decade.

Nothing really new here------Terrible rebounding, terrible defense---Guards constantly beat off the dribble, and big men too slow to challenge shots.

Man, I don’t get it. Defense looked great against LVC. But seriously, rebounding and defense seemed like big keys. I also think Elvin needs more than three shot attempts.

Outworked, outshot out hustled, outrebounded, outcoached and generally outplayed in a game that we controlled for the first 15 minutes before totally capitulating to Peacocks pressure.

They played a decent first half then capitulated as they progressively got beat in the second half. The kids tried their best, but this team will probably have a tough time being competitive against better teams. I hope I'm wrong. Man to man, they are as good as any team, but with teams the sum is greater than the parts. My sad lecture is over.

Sometimes you just lose to a better team . And maybe that was the case in this game. But I found that whatever new found optimism I had for this team based on Niagara disappeared as I watched turnover after turnover and saw us completely outrebounded by a smaller team. This is not the elite 8 St Peters team, and if they make another run in the tourney then Truax needs to take a good look at what they did this past off season and go to school on whatever that was. But for now, I believe we got demolished by a team that is probably no better than ave”rage.

63, well said! I was watching Screen, and he does not seem to have an aggressive bone in his body when going for rebounds. There are so many rebounds that I felt that he could have gotten if he just moved even a little bit and went up strong. He has developed a lot, but IMO, he could be so much better. Who is (not) coaching him?
