So in an inexplicably late night game (8:30), Penn travels up to Easton to see an old friend, No. 23, Mike(ael) Jordan and the Leopards. Jordan is off to an 0-4 start, but, before losing to UMBC, had played good competition competitively. The thing to watch for is that they have 3 guys who shoot the 3 at over 40%. We must defend the arc. We have a size (I think their biggest guy with minutes is 6'7") and speed advantage it would appear.

This is a must win at this point....to the extent that any non-conference game is must-win. The question is whether Dingle is playing.

"an inexplicably late night game"

It is a doubleheader. The Lafayette women play against LaSalle starting at 6:00 pm.

I would call that inexplicable. Start the women's game at 5 like we do

i don't think it's a must win because if dingle doesn't play, then all this is just navel gazing until he gets back. Maybe useful for some players to get going with more responsibility but I wouldn't necessarily go that far because once Dingle gets back we will play Jordan ball.

It is what it is. You all have chosen to accept this so this is my lot in life.

We haven't "chosen" anything different from you. I wanted Gary Williams or another big time coach with recruiting ties to the AAU back then. I never thought they would hire someone like that and they didn't. I think that in general, Steve has done a good job, although the program could be better. But it wasn't my choice or your choice. What is your choice is your right to complain about the coach. We really don't have much power (unless you are a major donor and the coach has done something embarrassing such as accept bribes or get all the African-American players to transfer out) over the decision making however. I choose to remain a season ticket holder and root for the team.

you've chosen to think this is acceptable performance and continue to support Donahue. That's the difference. What's happened is not ok. it's not acceptable. But many of you have accepted it.

So a KenPom 220 team from last year is missing their first team all ivy player who takes 30%+ of the shots. What did we expect would happen if he missed games?

I support the team. And that isn't going to change. When and if the new (invisible) AD decides to make coaching changes, I will express an opinion as to what we ought to do.

Penn is laying 6 points. That tells me that Dingle is playing. If anyone has any info that he won't be playing, please PM me so I can take the points.

I'm joking of course.

So we can support the team, as I do, but I should withhold expressing my displeasure with the mediocrity that's permeated this program until the unknown powers decide it's time for change? Basically suffer in silence. Nah!

Live stats provided by Lafayette show that Jordan Dingle is starting. No confirmation from the Penn radio team.

Vince Curran reports that Dingle's injury was a "quad contusion" caused by a knee to the thigh during the Drexel game.

Spinoso and Martz getting it done in the paint, and Spinoso has been a monster on the defensive glass so far.

Slajchert hasn’t gotten a shot up yet. Wearing a wrap on one of his wrists.

Should be a flagrant on that foul of Spinoso with the grab around his neck but these guys will probably punt it.

Dingle blows the layup after blowing by his man on the final possession and it’s 29-27 Lafayette at the break.

Lid on the offensive basket down the stretch, including an O-fer on the flagrant foul possession as Spinoso missed both FTs and they couldn’t convert in the subsequent half-court set.
