At Christl Arena tonight at 6 PM. Army, who is 5-1 in PL play, is a 6-point favorite. Jack Forrest gets his first Bucknell start.

Wow, a bit surprised with this win but good for them. Forrest was obviously the difference. Motta goes from starting to getting two minutes. Of course I didn’t see the game so I don’t know what happened…also Screen playing just 15 minutes.

Also, I have t received an email from Bucknell athletics on game night for a Bucknell basketball game all season until tonight. They are pouncing on this win. And it absolutely seemed like Bucknell did almost everything they could to lose that game in the final 8+ minutes.

Screen committed two bad fouls in the first 58 seconds - first jumping on a pump fake and then moving while setting a screen - which kept him out for a half. IMO he played too many minutes down the stretch as Timmerman was playing better defensively, especially defending ball screens, but was glued to the bench in the waning minute, playing exactly one second in the final 5:30. He ended up with 12 points and 9 rebounds in 25 minutes. Went 5-7 from the floor.
But a win is a win.

Timmerman may have gotten his bells rung on the play that sent him to the foul line late in the 2nd. He made one of 2 and did not see much action after that. Might explain his absence.
Screen continues to make me wonder. The two quick fouls, not the first time we have seen that. He is 7’1 but hardly ever wins a jump ball. And the “save” he made late in the game on a ball that was clearly out off of Army to give the ball back to the Knights when they were making their run . That said , props to him for making the foul shots at the end that won the game. It seems to me his foul shooting is better of late.

I also received one last week after the women’s win at Loyola (yes, same night as men lost to Loyola). They’re from Joel Moersch. Not a good look, IMO. Won’t be surprised to receive a “weekly update” from Davis in the next day or two. Been a while since the last one.
