Big weekend for the Bulldogs. A sweep and Yale is almost guaranteed a spot in Ivy Madness, getting swept would put them in dire straits. To make a road weekend harder, both Harvard and Dartmouth really need these games to keep themselves in step with the pack.

It will be interesting to see what level of shooting Yale gets this weekend. Obviously, I wouldn't expect Princeton-game levels, but neither would I expect the 3P% to be in the twenties like it was to start the conference season.

Thanks to the ridiculous new conference schedule, Harvard gets their home game in front of a sold-out crowd but Yale didn't. The pressure will be on, and on national TV to boot.

If they shoot well, Yale wins easily. But it will be a scrum if they don't.

I don't think anyone likes the schedule this year. Part of what made the Ivies interesting was the compressed schedule. It's so spread out this year that there's almost no chatter except on game day and one afterwards. I am looking forward to one real Ivy weekend coming up.

Well, so far the shooting is every bit as good as it's been recently, and Yale is up 17 at half. I'm (obviously) thrilled to see the offense humming along. Of course, making shots is what it is, but the offense is so much smoother and is producing far more quality shots now than it was last month. What a turnaround from December 31 until now.

Matt Knowling wins this game's Isaiah Kelly Award for Sick Dunking.

Honestly I think the one he did ajogbar later was better
Hard to block the lean in lefty hammer but given how massive the harvard kid is. Was impressive

Well that was a tale of two halves. Yale's offense completely disappeared in the second (credit Harvard's defense for a lot of that, to be fair), and the game turned into a slugfest. But road games are hard, and you'll take them however you can get them. Yale gets a needed road win, and now a win in Leede tomorrow would put them at worst tied for second.

It was a gritty effort. Harvard played better d and that recipe of trapping and slow playing the press has worked on yale this year

I would back fill a man at top of key and attack the defense
They did this vs cornel first half but seem less aggressive subsequently
It worked for harvard bc they have ajogbar clogging the middle and they are trapping bigger on smaller
James has to work on that
It can be exploited w the back side wing 3/post feed at worst

They also just need to cut harder. Harvard denied off-ball heavily in the second and they just did not make them pay like they should've.

Harvard never actually looks bad in these losses, but they really are not good at shooting. Yale can be defended with enough effort and athleticism, but if not they'll kill you with interior passing or kick outs to the perimeter.

Exactly---Harvard simply doesn't have enough offensive firepower to win games where the game gets into the upper '60s and above. Yale won this game in the first half--Harvard cannot come back from a 16 point deficit.

I only saw the first half, but IMO Harvard looked terrible that period. Their offense was reduced to throwing up wild off-balance shots and hoping for a foul, then glaring at the ref when no foul was called. Looked to me like really poor game management by the coach (I know, where have we heard that?)

Obviously they must have done something right the second half.

It is very hard to lean in with one hand and finish that.
You have to have massive hands and a very astute guy on this board said that and his wingspan were hidden advantages u can’t teach and don’t show up on knowlings roster page.

I remember when iverson used to do in aau ball with his inspector gadget arms and on big guys like me
