Leading 47-25 at the half, but he first 10 minutes were pretty ugly for both teams, which is to be expected on a 2nd game of a back-to-back. On the bright side, missing shots meant our defensive energy didn't wane either.
On a side note, why does Ivy Madness have to be a back-to-back?
In a tournament with only 2 rounds, why can't it be a Friday-Sunday affair? Back-to-backs lead to ugly, fluke-y games, which is not what you want for a one-bid league. The NCAA tournament has a day off between games - why not make our tourney the same?

Easy wire-to-wire win. Called off the dogs up 30 with 8m to play.
Interesting results around the league. Yale is officially "back." Road trip brings Cornell down into the pack. Brown very much in the mix despite losing Anya, who was crucial in beating us. If he hadn't gone down, they'd probably have 1 more win (close losses to Yale and Cornell).
If Anya comes back, Brown can absolutely play spoiler in Ivy Madness.

Just watched it. That was impressive, because the shooting overall wasn't exceptional (though good enough). Lots of blocks and dunks and some nice steals, plus rebounding dominance and drawing way more fouls, without the turnover bug being too bad. All the mainstays played well.
Austin looking pretty sharp out there, Lee looked pretty good playing extended minutes down the stretch at PG, even with Allocco on the floor at times.

Here's something I don't understand. Kenpom ratings after yesterday's games lists Cornell at 110 and Princeton at 111. Yale, meanwhile, at 74

I noticed that too. Am I correct that Princeton started the weekend ahead of Cornell? Kind of hard to fathom. I guess Princeton needed to run up the score more against Columbia.

I don't pay much attention to ratings, even NET (which is the NCAA's official one).
It seems like the NCAA committee pre-selects a seeding for the Ivy rep regardless of who wins the tourney. For example, Yale at #14 last year was a stretch, but it would have been fair for us (the favorite) had we won.
This year, barring an undefeated run for Yale through Ivy Madness, the Ivy is looking at another 14 seed. A sub-par year for the league, but not horrible like 2018.

The league’s lack of wins against anyone who will be in the tournament will be an issue. The only top 100 wins the league has are the 3 league wins against Yale. That matters more to the NCAA than it does to the ratings historically. So I won’t be surprised if we don’t do any better (and perhaps do worse) than last year on the seeding.

Some high seed is unlikely to be grateful to the committee if they get Yale, Cornell, or Princeton. Each presents a different sort of banana peel for them to slip on.
