Well, butter my butt and call me a biscuit. We won a game without shooting the lights out from three. Nice win.

A somewhat surprising win but good for the players to feel that feeling. We did not go, why did Rucker only play 10 min for Army?

Stunning week in the Patriot league. Congrats to the Bison on beating the Black Knights, after Army's big win in Bethlehem Wednesday. Meanwhile The Red Raiders of the Chenango Valley lose their first league game since last January, to the American team Bucknell beat earlier this week.

With six games left can the Bison escape the play in game?

Probably the best played PL game of the year because they did win w/o lights out shooting, We have seen a lot of games in which the script was “ get a nice lead, blow the nice lead, cave, lose;” Today, after losing an 11’point halftime lead, and falling behind they stood strong and rebuilt a 15 point lead. Final score was not as close as it looked because one Army player got hot from 3 pt range in garbage time.
I am not as down on the talent on this team, as some others on this board seem to be. We have one of the biggest, if not the biggest teams in in the league. Also they are not “PL big” meaning guys who can be pushed around. IMO, looking from 220 miles away, the talent on this team is good enough to have won a lot more than 3 PL games. And while they may not be in the class of the teams that got Bucknell national attention, and frankly put the school on the map, they certainly are not 3-9 in the PL because of lack of talent. Time for a change.

Great win! I didn't watch the game but its nice they came through and finished with the W. Screen seems to play well against Army, he thrives with all the aggressive jostling going on. Let's get two more wins this year, that way coach Davis will get one more win than Milan Brown did in his worst year in the Patriot League. Let's send him off a winner! Ray Bucknell!

A few more wins and they can extend Davis.

Rucker may well be the PL's best player. His being limited to ten minutes was huge. He didn't play the last 4+ minutes of the first half and did not play at all in the second half. Also didn't come out of the locker room for the first part of the second half. I am guessing some sort of illness.

A few comments:

1. Bijiek has improved noticeably the past few weeks. He had a good game vs Army, although he still has his struggles defensively man-to-man. But he did block four shots.

2. I think one significant improvement over the last few weeks is moving Xander Rice back to PG, where he is more effective. Last year Edmonds mistakenly was inserted as the main PG and Xander went to the wing. Edomonds can't penetrate well or create shots for his teammates the way Xander can. Also Edmonds does not have a jump shot off the dribble and releases the ball from neck height or lower. Thus he can't take a shot if there is a defender in the area. And playing the point instead of the wing or in the corner makes it much less likely that he will produce anything offensively. Contrast that to Xander, who has a good shot off the dribble and elevates nicely when he shoots. He's much better than Edmonds with the ball in his hands. Note that Bascoe has the same issue as Edmonds when it comes to shooting but more so.

In the two most recent wins, Edmonds played a total of 26 minutes and Bascoe played 2 minutes. Total of 28 minutes, or 14 mpg combined for the two of them. That means Rice played the point 26 mpg, which is a big plus.
