Bison are a 9–point underdog at Navy tonight. Navy is not a big team, with the exception of 6–8 PF Daniel Deaver, who has gone from being a role player to a star. If Navy were doing a little bit better, he would be a definite candidate for POY.

Amazingly, Navy has beaten the bison eight consecutive games. The last Bucknell win was back when ND still had DP‘s recruits. Shows what a big difference having Ed DeChellis as coach makes as opposed to ND.

Amazingly even box score. Shooting percentage almost identical, only one different on free throws. We outrebounded them 38-33, but may have lost it on turnovers, which went 14-6 Navy’s way.

The turning point was when Navy went to a 1–2-2 zone press in the second half, trailing by 7 points iirc. Even though it’s a very common press, the bison looked like they had never seen it or practiced against it. They had about four quick turnovers that led to navy baskets which ultimately decided the game.

Yeah, seems like turnovers were brutal.

Looking for any sign of a silver lining in the storm center of the Bucknell team, it does seem that we played better this time vs. Navy than we did in Lewisburg?

The previous game was so one sided, Navy showing depth and shooting ability that clearly was a level above the Bison. Coach Ed had a smile on his face the entire night on the visit to Lewisburg!

So it's possible the Bison are finally getting it together although from where they were earlier in the PL schedule, the only direction left was UP!

The turning point for Coach Davis to remain at Bucknell MAY have been the Army game in Lewisburg?
If that Bucknell team shows up vs. Colgate this weekend, we have a shot.
