As anticipated, Bucknell girls had an easy win, Wednesday evening, vs. Navy, winner of just one game all season! The score went quickly to 19-4 and the game was over.
But the improvement of the Bucknell Womens Basketball Team is apparent as Cecelia Collins is back at full speed, leading the way in scoring, after suffering an ankle injury.
And the two Freshman, Emma T. and Grace S. at forward and center, are beginning to show the promise of strong, all-star level play we hoped for when they were recruited.
All of this is coming together at the right time for a nice finish and for the playoffs.
This coach, Trevor Woodruff, does not enjoy losing anywhere, anytime, so it'll be interesting to see how he approaches the playoffs this year without a Bucknell team completely dominant in the PL.

Big game coming up this weekend at Colgate. They are tied at 6-6, but Colgate has the tie breaker based on winning a Sojka. Bison are only 1 game out of 3rd due to Army beating Lehigh last night. Of the four teams between 3-6, Army has the toughest schedule. Colgate probably has the easiest, so a Bucknell win on Saturday is critical. If they can take down Lehigh on Feb. 22, odds are good for a 3rd place finish. Would not want to face Boston until the final if possible.
