Senior day today. Boston U is tied for ninth place in the PL and yet is a three point favorite. The bison need to win at least two of the final three games to escape being the 10 seed.

I think one of the things that has helped the Bison of late is making changes to the lineup and rotation. Adding Forrest to the starting lineup and allowing Rice to be more of a lead guard role, Elvin coming off the bench, and Bascoe not in the rotation have been positives. In addition, I like Adoh (although he’s not playing today) and Bijiek on the floor more. Somebody had to lose minutes and unfortunately for them, JVH and Bascoe are those players.

I didn’t see the second half. But Bucknell led 44-38 with 13:48 to go, led 53-49 with 9:00 to go, still only down 58-56 with 5:30 to go….and ended up losing 77-61. Outscored 19-5 over that final 5:30.

There seems to be ascript for most of these games. No Bucknell leads early, sometimes by a healthy margin, halftime comes and the Bison team that got out ahead seems to have left the arena. Sometimes, as today the momentum shifts before the half. A 10- point lead became 3 at the break. As we did today in the second half we seem to put up a fight for a while, but eventually we lose the lead and then the other team wins going away.
Enough is enough!

Now need to win last 2 regular season games to potentially avoid 10 place! That certainly won’t be a given! I never thought league play would have gone like this back in November. Hopefully in a month Bucknell is looking for a new coach!
