I went back and researched Patriot League basketball standings over the past 6 years. Here are the cold, hard facts:
First W-L listing is in PL play and second listing is overall record.
Bison Basketball
2017-18. 16-2. 25-10
2018-19. 13-5. 21-12
2019-20. 8-10. 14-20
2020-21. 5-6. 5-7
2021-22. 5-13. 9-23
2022-23. 4-12. 11-18
Four straight losing seasons after years (decades) of success and tradition. Currently in last place of 10 PL schools.
Notable transfers out: Sotos, Spear, Rhodes, Ellis, Turner.
Standouts who played elsewhere for 5th year: Meeks, Funk, Sestina, Newman.
Transfers out during DP Years: maybe JC Show. Not sure of any others.
I’ll let the facts speak for themselves. As a longtime Bison fan, this is extremely frustrating. Next year doesn’t look any brighter.
Bucknell U and our basketball program are all about tradition and excellence. We’re not getting it.

We get it. AD and Admin in general either don't get it or don't care

Bison are 22–41 in patriot league play since ND had all of his own players. That is the worst four year performance in over 50 years. Disgraceful, and a change is long overdue. I will be writing Jermaine Truax and Dr. Bravman next week with a long list of facts and point out to them how much money this will ultimately cost Bucknell. If Truax is doing his job, he should have been researching potential successors for at least the last month.

I’m not sure I have confidence a change will be made. Such a shame.

Have to question the overall commitment to major sports (i.e. football, basketball) by the AD and Bucknell administration. While they seem happy to see the sports not requiring major funding doing well, the lack of commitment to sports in general is frustrating. Would rather see Bison move to Division 3 than continue to ignore the major issues that have grown for several years.
