A third matchup with the Big Red awaits the Bulldogs on Saturday morning. Cornell still hasn't found the horns on their three-point shot, but as the whole league knows at this point, they're dangerous if they do.

I still think Matt Knowling plays in the ILT, but Yale has shown that even if he doesn't, they're a force to be reckoned with. How many other teams in the league could say that?

Princeton, Penn, and Cornell all are forces to be reckoned with without Matt Knowling.

Heh, good one. That's what I get for trying to post before I've had my coffee. "What teams could be missing their best player and still be a force to be reckoned with" is what I meant.

Side note: Jalen Gabbidon and Ethan Wright are seeing substantial time on the floor together as Colorado leads UCLA 38-37 at half in the Pac–12 Tournament. Wright and Jalen are first and second on the Buffs in scoring with 10 and 8, respectively.

Jalen's also guarding Jaime Jaquez, UCLA's national PoY candidate.

Here's where I just don't understand the "ho hum, Jones wasn't that impressive" line. He lost possibly the best pure scorer he's ever coached and a two-way player good enough to do what Jalen is doing for Colorado and another putative starter in Matt Cotton and had to close without Matt Knowling. And he still won the conference.

Who said Jones' coaching wasn't good? I heard a lot about Amaker, some about Donahue---none about Jones. His team wasn't as good this year as last but benefited from the league being all packed in and no one else being able to run away. Overall, I think it's clear he has been the best coach in the League for the last 5 years of play.

Jones is a very good coach. His teams are tough, play
together, and work hard on both ends of the court.
He also recruits well. I am not sure this year's team is not
better than last year. Mbeng may be the best pure point guard in the League, Knowling and Jarvis are probably the best big combo
and the other two guys can shoot the lights out.
Yale is for real, and next year they figure to be even more scary.
Hoping Jones gets an offer he can't refuse!

Dominant performance today by the Bulldogs. Still second-half warriors - they won the second half by 17. Princeton comes tomorrow, and it's always hard to beat the same teams three times in a season.

This is going to be one of those games where the NCAA Tournament officials are going to have to hold off making their pairings until this game is decided.

There is too much of a gap between Yale and Princeton for the identical seed to be awarded.

Well they won't have to waste time thinking about Penn.

Penn and Princeton are basically at very similar spots in KenPom and Torvik, even after today. Yale is clearly the class of the IL and has been so in the ratings all season long.

There was also a pretty big gap on resume last year (Princeton should've been a 13, Yale a 15), I'm pretty sure the committee just split the difference and held a 14 as placeholder.
