I figured this was going to be a difficult matchup for Gonzaga. Timme doesn't play above the rim, and UConn is stacked with bigs who can elevate. Foul trouble didn't help; Timme's fourth early in the second half basically killed them. Their guards never really got going in the first half, either.

This wasn't just a rout, it was a massacre.

They could not hit anything, whether from the charity stripe or three point line.

There was a stretch where for a large part of the 2nd half they were 3 for 21 from the field. And this from the most efficient offensive team in the country. Some of it was because of the UConn defense but they had their share of decent looks at the hoop and just could not hit a thing.
