I just learned of this. Hit by a pick up truck (driver with no insurance) on AIA in Florida while trying to ride his bicycle across the road. Wish him the best.

On a zoom call with Dartmouth boosters yesterday, the AD declined to give details about Buddy's condition (citing the wishes of the family), but did say that the doctors were hopeful to have a clearer idea of his recovery by May.
Everyone's praying that he makes a full recovery. But.... he was hit by a truck going 50 MPH and was not wearing a helmet. Could be tough...

The Teevenses aren't even giving updates on his condition to their own extended family, which doesn't feel like it bodes well for his full-recovery prognosis. It's a real tragedy; much as I don't think a school should define itself by one of its many programs, Buddy Teevens is Dartmouth through and through: a highly-respected innovator for a game that desperately needed someone like him. Fingers crossed that my gut instinct is wrong and he'll be okay.

His suffered spinal cord injuries and his right leg was amputated. He is going to be transferred to a rehabilitation facility.
