The program posted self-introductory videos from each member of John Griffin's new staff. Here they are with Griffin's extra two cents:

Why does the historically pathetic Football program, or the successful but non-revenue generating LAX program get new facilities and practice facilities before the basketball program?
Sojka is phenomenal, and our locker room is getting better, but if we had a practice facility we would consistently get A10 caliber players. And there would be an ROI in actual US Dollars

The A-Sun schools are all investing as they’re able in similar facilities. Jacksonville University invested in one before they even built a new arena. https://www.jacksonville.com/story/sports/college/ ...

Theoretically, recruits would pick a school for the Coach, or program history, campus, academics etc
For better or worse, many recruits place immense weight on the "Bright and shiny objects" IE Locker Room bells and whistles and practice facility.
In reality, these things recruits value so much dont really help them get better at basketball; however, it's a game you simply have to play to compete for Talent that can win in March
