NCS middle school up to 8-2. The second loss was a two-point heartbreaker to Holton Arms, but there were extenuating circumstances. It was the first game since winter break, and the school lost several days of practice due to snow days and President Carter's funeral. And we had a substitute coach who opted to sub more liberally than the regular "core 7" players that our usual coach does.
Otherwise, the games have not been competitive. The last two games, the coach ordered the players not to shoot in the second half and just play catch so that the clock would end faster. Boring as hell to watch, but I get it...
Rematch against Potomac this Friday at Potomac. They won't catch us off-guard the way they did earlier this season...

I believe this is the message board that cares about such things:

Just consider it part of a "WBB 2029 Recruits" discussion.

*sigh*
Potomac got the better of NCS again. 29-23 final, although NCS got a few late baskets against Potomac's second string to make it look closer than it actually was.
Potomac has three excellent players, plus a supporting cast. NCS only has one excellent player and a supporting cast. Not sure how NCS is going to close the gap, but they'll have to get better somehow.
NCS sitting at 9-3, whereas Potomac is undefeated.
