I am trying to scroll through the box score and stats, so naturally I go to the Atheltics Department website.

I absolutely detest this new design. It is about as user friendly as ex wives.

Seems like the starters haven't forgotten the hard-won lessons from late last season about physicality and toughness on D. Pierce's 15 rebounds jump out as well. And we've all been waiting for Allocco to be a more consistent scorer, rather than just a facilitator and bail-out option at the end of the shot clock.

Gonna need some bench development, though.

Very good to see Garrett Johnson healthy after the last two years. Would have been nice to have him play for Princeton but he's got 4 years to play at Geroge Washington. Led GW in scoring and rebounding with 21 and 9 last night so he's off to an excellent start.

Some kudos for the Tigers from TheKnightReport post-mortem:

"The biggest disappointment of the night was how Princeton ‘out-toughed’ Rutgers, especially in the post. The bigger and more dominant Cliff Omoruyi was not so dominant as Princeton’s Caden Pierce and Matt Allocco combined for 9 offensive rebounds and 15 rebounds total. Matt Allocco, Xaivian Lee, and Caden Pierce willingly pounded the ball down low to convert easy shots around the basket.

Rutgers was downright outplayed by a smaller Princeton unit, but furthermore, Mitch Henderson outcoached Steve Pikiell, whose squad looked unprepared for what the Tigers threw at them."

NEWS: Rutgers and Princeton are working to finalize an agreement to play in the Never Forget Tribute Classic in Newark, according to multiple sources.

The date is set for Saturday, December 21st inside the Prudential Center.

Gonna be weird to face off against Martini, but this could be a rare marquee win opportunity. Rutgers is looking like a fringe Top 25 team with their incoming freshmen and transfers.

Can't expect too much from freshmen, even elite ones. Dylan Harper and Ace Bailey might be future lottery picks, but it might not translate to winning games right away.

If the game is played as expected, it will be two years in a row for Princeton-Rutgers on neutral sites. Is that better for Rutgers, from a NET ranking perspective, than playing 1 home and 1 away? If not, what other advantage is there for playing the games in Trenton and Newark as opposed to normal home games?

I don't think Rutgers was willing to commit to 2 games at once. So the compromise may have been one neutral site game at a time.
