Best half the men have played in three+ years.

On a 13-0 run, we lead at the half 44-37. KenPom has Columbia losing by 11, but this half, they are moving the ball and playing with intensity. Whatever happens in the second half, it looks as if something has finally clicked in...

Columbia #283 in KenPom beats Temple, KenPom #139 on their home court, 78-73.

A gutsy performance, and certainly the men's biggest victory in many, many years.

Congratulations on the win. Columbia looked like a completely different team than the one that lost to Albany.

That said, I don't think Temple is very good this year, despite having gone into today's game undefeated. New coach, few returning players, very guard-centric and not a lot of size or skill on the front line.

Not seeing why Temple had a 139 ranking from KenPom. They played much worse than that today.

What a great win for the Lions! Ivy hoops is really putting on a show this non-conf. Someday that second NCAA bid will arrive...

Maybe we have something after all. And football also beat Cornell 29-14 on the road.

How we managed to out-rebound Temple is remarkable, particularly since Albany killed us on the boards, but whatever we had for our pre-game meal, let's do it again.

More seriously, Engles out-coached the Temple coach. We haven't played zone at all so far this year and only rarely used it last year, yet we zoned Temple the entire game, and it worked because it reduced the effect of Temple's size and athleticism.

I think we turned a corner. Great ball movement.

I think we turned a corner. Great ball movement. Great end of game coaching by the much maligned Engles. Brilliant.

Looking at the box score I see we went 11 sleep, but no Stankard or Tavroff. Are they injured? In any event lots of contributions from the bench and balanced shooting. I know I was upbeat after the opening win against Yale last year, so I hope this win isn’t fool’s gold.

Meant 11 deep, no Freudian slip.
