The Green knock off New Hampshire on the road 43-40. First D1 win in a year. It wasn't pretty, but three shoutouts.
*Doreen Arik looked like herself. 12 points 13 boards and 3 blocks including a big one down the stretch.
*Nina Minicozzi continues to show a solid all around game at the point. 10 points, 7 rbs, 5 assists 2 steals.
*Coach Cimino drew up a sideline out of bounds play with the score tied and 40 secs left that proved to be the difference. Fake handoff by Page leading to an uncontested layup. It was Dartmouth's only bucket in the last six minutes, but it was enough.

Wonderful news!
Obviously, we're nowhere near competing for a title. But always great to see some progress!!

Agreed about all of this. UNH looks to be pretty moribund this year (they beat Howard, which is only 1-7 themselves, and they lost to UNLV by 63), but a win's a win. Setting the tone with players who aren't her recruits while continuing to find better players for next year and subsequent years is the best Cimino can do.

D1 Win for Dartmouth Women 11-27-23 08:28 AM - Post#359758

Coach also appears to have shortened her bench quite a bit. They'd had over a week since the last game and I'm guessing she made some hard decisions on who she's going to ride this year for minutes.
I said last year, after she left the team, that Ariik is good for a win or two just on her own, and we definitely saw that yesterday. UNH had zero answer for her, and other schools will do similarly.
