68-57 road loss to Albany. The score looks respectable, but I don't think it was that close. The game was never in doubt after the middle of the second quarter...

Then again, it's a heck of a lot better than the 73-45 spanking Albany gave us in Hanover last season. So there's that...

I'm not much of one to claim pyrrhic victories in sport, but if I did, this would be one. Even in the loss I saw as many bright spots from this team in some years.

-Ariik continued her march to being a top level Ivy player with 16/8 on very efficient shooting , all while creating an incredible defensive post presence without fouling!

-Albany shot almost 60% from 3 - compared to their season average of 37%. You're not going to win many games when the other team does that.

-Big Green had 16 assists on 25 made FGs, which is pretty good considering some of the numbers they've had recently.

I'm bullish on their chances against Lafayette and UMass Lowell. And, who knows, with Yale's program in freefall and Harvard now missing their leading scorer it's not impossible to imagine an Ivy win or two this season.

I know what you're trying to say. But a "pyrrhic victory" necessarily requires an actual victory.
