Rare 2pm midweek game today.
Another chance for the squad to play without Ajogbor against a weaker opponent. (Army, HC, Iona).
Assuming Ajogbor underwent surgery around Nov 28th and is expected to be out a month, we won’t see him today or possibly even against Iona on 12/30.

Albany on 1/2 could be a possibility as is @ Princeton for the Ivy opener on 1/6. After that, I surely hope he is ready to go when Brown comes to Lavietes on 1/15. That last game is important if the Crimson have a chance to make the Ivy tournament.

Happy Holidays to all!

Amazing!
Okpara and Lesmond the only true starters anticipated for 2023-24.
Wojcik starting at PG. Assuming freshman Nesbit is his backup.

Apparently, HC has no interior defense so Okpara and Batties being fed inside at the start.

How long does it take to be cleared to play after mono? I recall that the spleen is at issue.

Just crushing.

Okpara led Harvard over Holy Cross. But only a two point win at home over a 2-8 squad. Wojcik/Nesbit at the point. Batties/Ace Nasteski at center.

Was at the game yesterday and was disappointed to walk in to see Mack in street clothes.

In regards to when he'll be back, it will depend on when he contracted mono. The brief research I did suggests 10-14 days of rest after the onset of illness, then another 28 days of increased aerobic activity before resuming full activity, but all of these things depend on the individual circumstances of the case.

They could also take a page out of the Jets' playbook - https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/sam-darnold- to-...

Mono has a huge range of severity---and return to athletic activity has a lot to do with swelling of the spleen as well.

Jan 6th - @ Princeton
Jan 15th - vs Brown
Jan 20th - @ Penn
Jan 27th - vs Yale
Feb 2nd - vs Columbia
Feb 3rd - vs Cornell
Feb 10th - vs Dartmouth

Based on public accounts, Ajogbor should be back for Brown if not for Princeton.

As for Mack, I am hearing some speculation that his sluggish performance vs Army on December 8th might have been near the start of his illness. If so, I guess there is a hope for Brown or Penn, but it sounds like the swelling of the spleen will be determinative.

That game against Brown at home looms large regardless. Losses on the road at Princeton and Penn aren't determinative as long as we hold serve at home.

I was wondering myself whether he might have been sick a lot earlier than he realized. I had mono senior year in high school, and I ran a bunch of races—I was a miler—before I knew I had it. I was still able to run pretty close to my PR, but I just felt awful and couldn't figure out why I wasn't able to do better. Would definitely fit with his last couple of performances.

I came down with mono in December of my sophomore year. It was brutal. Ended my very forgettable college track career (I ran the 800 and mile). Princeton’s old schedule of holding first semester finals in January is the only reason I made it through orgo and didn’t flunk half my courses that term.

I only had to get tested for mono once during college. When the doctor told me it was negative, he said, "yeah i guess this is just a case of BAT...big butt tonsils."
