I think he’s a quality Euro player whether he stayed at Penn or transferred. So the question is wither $500k he supposedly got from St. John’s was worth passing up on the Penn degree.

I watched St John’s victory over Villanova. Dingle was solid but his opportunities to drive the basketball were very limited and his outside shot was so-so. Had some nice assists and seemed not to make mistakes on defense (they seemed to play a lot of matchup zone).

BOTH Brian Taylor and Armond Hill left before getting degrees and subsequently returned to complete them if my aging brain is not mistaken.
From Wikipedia (the resource of aging brains such as mine)
After graduating from Bishop Ford Central Catholic High School in Brooklyn, Hill attended The Lawrenceville School for a postgraduate year before attending Princeton, where he played under Hall of Fame coach Pete Carril. He was named Ivy League Men's Basketball Player of the Year as a senior in 1976 and entered the NBA draft. Drafted by the Atlanta Hawks, Hill had a solid career as a role player in the NBA, compiling 6.9 points and 4.3 assists per game over eight seasons.
After his playing career Hill returned to Princeton to complete his baccalaureate degree, earning a B.A. in psychology in 1985.
So it seems as if AH did not leave early, but had not completed his degree. Is that even possible?

Did Dingle pass up the degree? It seemed like there was some talk about whether he was able to finish up somehow before transferring.
