Yes, 81! By the way, I don’t know the nature of Mack’s injury/illness, which I assume slowed him down somewhat, but the Tigers completely shut him down. In the second half, the guy seemed to get really frustrated and threw up some absolutely wild shots and passes.

Fun game to watch.
Whether it was fatigue or inexperience, Mack did not handle being doubled off of the screens very well, and our defenders were very physical defending him.
When Harvard crawled within 5 at 15:00 of the second half, Scott hit a very big three. Harvard then had a turnover and a "wedgie", with Lee scoring 5 (including walking in for a layup); suddenly the lead is 13.
Harvard looked disjointed on offense, likely due to lack of playing time together. This may improve by the next meeting.

I am 100% in this-season mode, and loving a blowout where the team pulled away rather than hung on. I would also be gratified if we could get some sold post play off the bench. Davis and Scott have reassured me about perimeter depth, but getting Hudgins or any other big playing consistently and effectively in the rotation would really solidify this team. Lee won’t go extraterrestrial every night.

A previous post expressing concern that Lee might move on to the Pros before his senior year reminded me of another great Tiger player from the somewhat distant past, Armond Hill. Armond went pro before graduating, but returned after his playing days to complete his studies and receive his degree.

Chris Young had to stop playing after his sophomore year due to being (MLB) drafted by the Pirates. He probably would have been drafted by an NBA team too if he had stuck with basketball.
Young stayed in school to complete his degree but had to withdraw from both Princeton teams. He played minor league baseball during the summer though.

Mack had mono. Last played Dec 8th. Hope he gets his energy and flow back soon. He’s fun to watch when healthy.
Harvard needs Mack, Ajogbor and maybe Wojcik back before it plays Brown on the 15th. Getting Okpara a second foul 7 minutes in this afternoon was devastating. The only other front court players Harvard had left this season were two freshmen. I wonder if Amaker was considering holding Mack out until Wojcik was insured earlier this week. Without Evan Nelson (out for the season) and Wojcik (injured this week), Mack is the only true ball handler left.
Harvard suffered some injuries prior to the season, leaving them with no depth. The injuries to Ajogbor and Wojcik and Mack’s illness decimated this team.
Regardless, opening at Princeton was a tall task even if healthy.

Dingle is different. Unless he completely dropped out of Penn during the Covid year, he was not eligible to play for Penn this year

I thought most people felt Penn was going to be the favorite this year because Dingle WAS coming back. Did I miss something or was that just wishful thinking on the Penn board?

Wow!! I don’t understand then. He has no current Penn degree. I don’t know what he has gained in terms of basketball either.
If he had come back and Martz had stayed Penn would have had one hell of a team

From what I had heard, he entered his name into the NBA draft process, and the evaluation he got was that he needed to be able to replicate the production he'd recorded at Penn at a high major level. Hence St. John's and Pitino.
From what I have seen of that team so far, JD seems to have had some difficulty adapting to being a third or fourth offensive option. His defense has gotten better, and he's making plays for teammates despite not being a primary ballhandler.
That said, he will have to get better pretty quickly if he intends to be a draft candidate. My thinking is that he goes undrafted but gets a summer league invite.
