Tigers blow out Crimson 72-49 on their home court in front of a full house.
Six players in double-figures, Ellie Mitchell with a 10/14/5 line and Nweke and Chea made huge contributions off the bench. Harmoni Turner had 12 points on 4-12 shooting, Princeton outscored Harvard 24-6 on points off TOs, and the defense was suffocating (the H announcers likened Princeton to a “boa constrictor”).
After last year’s debacle starting Ivy play at Harvard, this was a dominant team win for the Tigers.

Can't say enough about Chen's defense against Turner. I think she held her to 4 pts in the first half. Just terrific work.

Totally agree with the job Chen did on Turner. This was the Tiger's best defensive effort to date. Mullaney got some points but had to work really hard to get them and she had no threes. Mostly scored on drives to the basket and made some really tough shots that you don't make a lot of the time. Also kept the Harvard bigs at bay as neither Rodriquez nor Krupa were troublesome.
Kaitlyn Chen, along with Ellie Mitchell, will be a huge loss next year but it's becoming more and more evident that Ashley Chea will be a more than adequate replacement by next year. The Tigers have survived the loss of Alarie, Littlefield and Meyers, to name a few, in recent years and I think they'll eventually be just fine when Chen is gone. A little early for that I know but I couldn't help thinking that while watching the game yesterday. TheFreshmanclassisoutstan ding.

Oops. Sorry about the last sentence. Accidently posted before correcting the spacing between the words. Should read, the Freshman class is outstanding.
