The University has announced that Saturday’s game is sold out. First sellout since 2002 Kansas game.

That is quite surprising. In light of the relatively poor performance of the Quakers this year, and the seeming discontent among the Penn faithful, I would expect the Penn contingent to be smaller this year. In past years, they have made up a sizable portion of the crowd. So, that must mean the large majority of the tickets will go to Princeton fans and the general community. If true, it would confirm my belief that there is a lot more marketing and promotion going on.

Really. I thought Penn fans had given up on their team this year. The attendance at the Palestra hasn't been that great.

A lot of Penn fans bought tickets before the season and hope still was eternal. I was pessimistic and did not. I can pretty much guarantee that virtually all who bought tickets since the season started are Princeton fans.

A win is now even more imperative. Gotta keep that fan momentum going!

Anyone know how we got that home game against Kansas in 2001-02? They didn't have anyone from NJ on their roster and weren't playing any other games in the area...

It was a home and home from the year before.

Jadwin is listed with a seating capacity of 6,854. The crowd yesterday is shown in the box score as 5,515. With the game a sellout is the 1,300 + difference fans who purchased tickets but didn't attend the game? Does the 5,515 exclude free tickets for fans who did attend, like comps given to players or the various HS teams that attended?
