Princeton -5 O/U 156

For what its worth, Cornell lost at home to Brown and followed that bust up with an epic struggle against Pennsylvania last night.

As a punter I'm laying the 5 tonight as a strong play.

During the ESPN+ live stream of the women's game against Dartmouth, play-by-play guy Jon Mozes mentioned that the ESPN+ stream of the Cornell game will feature Mason Hooks alongside Derek Jones, apparently as a replacement for Noah Savage.

Mason Hooks! Another fondly remembered basketball name.

Poor start for the Tigers. Pierce is missing the rim as he did yesterday and Cornell has beaten them down the floor a few times.

Pierce not getting any calls on offense, but PU turning Cornell over three times in a row has the game down to a four-point deficit with the Tigers in possession after Earl had to call a timeout.

Down seven with Davis forcing offense a bit and several missed treys on one possession. Tigers getting sped up of late, and it’s helping Cornell get secondary break drives to the rim.

Lead back to 7 Tigers 1-9 from 3P. Princeton having problems getting to the rim and foul line.

Will be hard to win if only 3 players are going to score.

Martini has had at least five great looks that didn’t go down. If Cornell keeps giving those up they’ll get burned eventually.

The D is good when they pressure the ball and get in the passing lane to the nearest guy. Otherwise….

Happy to be only down two. Cornell is just tough stylistic matchup for this year’s edition of the Tigers.

Down 2 not a bad place to be given the poor shooting in 1H. After a rocky start the D looks much more active and physical. Tigers need Lee to get more shots and penetration to open up the offense.

Dalen Davis has been beaten off the dribble and on back door cuts several times already. A huge spark on offense and a capable perimeter defender but a liability against a team like Cornell.

Up 3 with 11:14 left. Entertaining if nerve-wracking so far. Cornell already has five team fouls and Pierce is really asserting himself on both ends.

Some bad turnovers and the lead is still three with 8:20 left. Cornell is grabbing ORs

Rough patch after it looked like they might be getting some separation.

Tied and Cornell about to shoot FTs.DD with four fouls. Tigers need to stay strong without fouling.

Tigers look a step slower than Cornell on both ends right now, they will need to ratchet up their intensity over the final 7 minutes.

Press is hurting us; short shot clock after crossing mid-court.
