Three huge plays in a row.
A tear drop bucket and two
assists with the clock
running down.
Princeton still being a part
of March!

Major collapse by Cats down the stretch, with a Langborg turnover at the beginning of it.
Need some NU magic in the final minute to pull this one out.

Yes, he has been the star of the OT stanza so far, although Bouie just showed why he is the star of this team--they don't make the tourney without him.

Aside for the last 20 seconds or so of regulation, nothing was going right for Northwestern during the last 4 minutes of the second half.
But just about everything is going right for them so far in OT.
Hopefully they can stay strong and pull this one out.

Uh oh. I see that Northwestern pulled it out in OT thanks to some clutch play by RL. My condolences. You must be very disappointed.
Maybe you should head back to the Penn board where, I am certain, you will find much more to rain on. Have a nice day, PN, if that is possible

Actually, I root for Northwestern, grew up about a 30 minute drive away up Sheridan Road.

What a game from Langborg! Game-high 27pts including the clutch buckets in the 2nd half and OT when Buie and others ran out of gas. Boo is the star of the team but Ryan was the star of the game.
Ryan is a primetime player - he just takes it up a notch at the Big Dance. The fearless drive-and-dishes, the quick release midrange jumpers, the long range 3s. He's an underrated athlete/defender too. I always thought he underachieved at Princeton until the Sweet 16 run.
UConn looks unbeatable until the Final Four, but I hope Ryan has another great game. Between Tosan and Ryan, Princeton grads are making the program proud.

Chris Collins agreeing with me: "There's something about that kid - you get to the Dance and he's ready to go."

So much for "work from home" today. Watching Ryan go off today was exactly what I needed to get over the disappointing end of the season: 27 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals and only 1 turnover in 41 minutes (lowest among NW's starters). He also did a bunch of little things that don't show up in the stat sheet--the defensive play at the end of regulation on the shooter, saving the ball a couple of times, helping block out so that team mates could get rebounds. Wow!
Even Penn Nation had trouble finding too many negative things to say about his play today.

I thought DeSantis barred Latinos and Blacks from being taught their history at the University of Florida.

That was awesome. Ryan was a favorite player for me at Princeton, so these successes on the big stage are sweet. His defense was great all game long as well.

I wonder if Northwestern's coach Collins is going to go after Allocco for his grad year. I bet Langborg has already suggested it. Would be a great fit for both.
