Surprising to me that she did not return to one of the California schools (UCLA, USC, Stanford), though UCLA just nabbed Charlisse Leger-Walker, a guard from Washington State, whom ESPN rated higher than Kaitlyn. And I saw some comments from UConn fans yesterday that argued UConn did not need another guard, but rather needed one or more bigs from the transfer portal. Kaitlyn will probably become more a facilitator/assister than scorer, in light of Bueckers, Fudd, and UConn's other scoring guards. But the Carla-Geno connection must have been important and she will be more visible for those of us on the East Coast.

Scott never became the outside shooter that would have solidified his status as a heavy-minutes guy. But he will be missed for his other contributions. In particular I thought he was improving as an on-ball defender.

Per Verbal Commits Vernon Collins committed to Western Carolina on May 8th.

Any word on Sangster or Duncan?
At some point, do they return to the fold?
Still have hope for Sangstert in particular.

No updates on them via Verbal Commits. I think they have all summer to decide.

I don't expect Sangster to come back. He had a lot of midmajor offers in high school, so I bet he'll have options for more playing time.

Duncan I can see coming back. He didn't have many offers, and after next season, Lee will go pro/NBA and Peters will have graduated. Maybe Davis transfers if he has a big year. There will be minutes available.

Thanks for the update.
I know Sangster was
recruited heavily,
but Scott and Fleming
leaving means he could
be in the rotation this
year. He can shoot.

In Coach Henderson's talk at Reunions, he said they only lost 3 to the portal in Collins, Scott and Sangster, so I believe Duncan is no longer in the portal

It sounds like Sangster has offers that he is mulling over.
Dalen Davis is interesting player. He had big time offers including Kansas. He came to Princeton knowing about NIL and the transfer portal. He could have left this year. He must really like it at Princeton.

It looks like Jack Scott is back. He's practicing with the team and he's not listed on the 2024-25 W&M MBB roster:

Ryan Duncan ended up coming back too:

Great news. Scott should see a lot of time and may even start.

RE Abdullahi
I saw him play via streaming when Columbus played Montverde. He is terrific defender. He was tasked with guarding Cooper Flagg (he was not successful, but then again, who is). However, he is very skilled and may start for the Tigers. I believe that he will be one of if the not best freshmen in the Ivy League.

in response to Jerometh:

It would be great if Abdullah contributed immediately,
especially on the boards and defending inside.

My guess is that Deven Austin will start at SF, but Scott and Abdullahi should both be in the rotation. Found this long highlight compilation of Malik's senior year:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hvic5Hzfojo

He excels at putbacks, cuts and in transition with big dunks and alley-oops. His jumper is rough, but his athleticism gives the team a new dimension.

The Tigers can almost always use some incremental power, height, and/or athleticism. Look at the disproportionate impact that Kellman had while he played at PU. Got to complement the finesse guys.

Deleting prior post…the 24-25 rosters are not posted and I mistook the 23-24 roster as current
