i like isaac celiscar for yale a lot.
if he finds a consistent 3 ball he will be their mvp or trade up.
but he has knowling vibes and is a dog. he is incredibly strong (see his brother who plays d end for a&m).

2024 Recruiting Classes? 10-05-24 12:38 PM - Post#372691

Robert Hinton is a 4-star recruit on Rivals and 247 Sports. He didn't get a ton of offers because he committed to Harvard as a soph, but he would have if he had waited.
Xaivian Lee said he worked out with him and thought he'd come to Princeton - seems like the coaching staff was really high on him.

goes without saying but recruiting rankings for this league are maybe accurate if comparing and ordering 1/8. otherwise hardly helpful.
i have seen brathwaite and celiscar on the circuit. they are really good and should excel at this level. the staff loves fox. but i havent seen him live.
and i cant comment on but a few others arnd the league as i didnt seek them out in the chaos that is travel ball. but neither did the "analysts" who rank them.

Yes, I listed the top 5 — Celiscar was #6, and barely behind Levine.

Agreed a couple of the Harvard guys look like they could be underrated (Hinton in particular).

2.94 to 3.46. Doesn't seem to be enough difference to be very meaningful, even if you think the ratings have relevance. 2025 ratings are similar.

for posterity...
i just broke down game tape for our upcoming game against Milton (ga) which is loaded and has
daniel ogunyemi, yale commit. he is improving from even this summer when i last saw him by expanding his offensive game.
if you keep celiscar and ogunyemi keeps expanding his range...aletan stays. this is a nasty front court in the out years.
some if's. but some real exciting pieceto work with

also i did a quick call with the on3 analysts this am who are the best staffed recruiting analysts in that business now.
they asked me some intelligent questions about the kids in our program down to our junior high aged travel team. they clearly know how to evaluate kids as well as anyone
i asked how daniel ogunyemi wasnt rated higher because he can flat out go and is playing for the #1 team in a hoops hotbed. i summarize..."we are most focused on the top 50-100 kids nationally for reputation sake. as you know that is a projection of potential. this is hard enough for us to do. admittedly we devote the majority of our resources now to our portal coverage. this is where the clicks and coaches are"
recruiting rankings have become a collosal joke. this is the why.

also the only reason they asked the questions is because we have at least 3 kids who fit that profile in our program of say top 50-100.
or will over the next 1-4 years.
