This is indeed a shocker. Giving up millions to run the NIL operation at his alma mater. Makes you wonder just how much money there is in NIL athletics even at smaller mid-majors when the Ivies are essentially refusing to get involved with it at all directly.

My impression is that he wants out of the rat race and wants to spend his time contributing to something about which he cares, i.e., his alma mater.
