No rest for Yale as they head up to Minneapolis to face another Big Ten team. Minnesota had an excellent big man in Dawson Garcia who can shoot from all three levels, but the rest of its roster is not particularly notable. North Texas managed to pull off a win over Minnesota by letting Garcia get his and limiting the supporting staff. It'll be interesting to see what the coaching staff has schemed up for this one.

i missed it. but clearly to disparity and orb's were the issue.
hard to play a desperate b10 team on the road with that home cooking but it is what it is.
i do think samsons defense, simmons broadly and celiscar are incremental positives so far.
but need to play cleaner to get on a winning run. bez has been banged up also but the lead guards have got to play cleaner in general even in more neutral game situations.
i am encouraged by the potential in this team tho. but that can also be a funny word, potential.

I did see both the Purdue and Minnesota games, and the things that stood out to me yesterday were Mbeng's early foul trouble, which cost him much of the second half (he eventually fouled out with less than two minutes to play), Yale's continuing to go under screens on the perimeter (which I believe they should reconsider) and Minnesota's determination not to let Poulakidis ruin their day. Ball denial and the judicious use of double teams were pretty effective there. Almost every shot Poulakidis took was contested and difficult.

mbeng has a bad knee. was told he wldnt play. he did

i dont know abt drop coverage. against purdue thats a tough coverage decision.
their 1/2 combo are maybe the best in country. got bama a few nights later and bama has an elite backcourt.

the stats dont tell me that was the wrong decision if they stayed on drop. dreb stats cldve been worse if they didnt. always a tradeoff.
certainly didnt get shot out of gym.
59 points on road to big 10 team is incredible. that should have won the game. but oreb and to disparity and ft disparity (home cooking) overcame the good.

Right now, Yale looks like the odds-on favorite to win the League.
