Yale takes a day trip to south Rhode Island for a matchup with Archie Miller's red-hot Rams. Rhode Island gets a lot of credit for annihilating the best team on their schedule so far (a 38-point drubbing of College of Charleston), but they have not looked terribly compelling otherwise. Another winnable game for the Bulldogs if they can string a complete game together.

Is there really a "South" to Rhode Island? To be exact, yeah it's slightly to the South of center (Westerly is 23 miles south and South Attleboro MA is 38 miles northeast) but this, after all, Rhode Island.

We drove through there one summer from suburban NYC on our way to Newport.

they sat their big guy with 2. he is a problem in there.
so a 1 point lead is a deficit actually. they got away with it.

This one has been a good game to watch, each team making some mini-runs. Amazing Yale still has a chance to win despite the tremendous disparity in 3 pointers made.

Yale got bailed out on that Pouli miss which got stuck between the rim and board. The extra time on the inbounds got them 2 free throws.
But then Green again, just on fire.

This team could overcome a bad night from three, and it could overcome a rough night on the boards, but it's hard to overcome both at once.
It's tough because you can tell Yale is right there, but they haven't quite put it all together yet. I have faith that they will, though. There's too much talent on this team, and the coaching staff has a fantastic track record with this sort of thing.
