I wasn’t totally serious about that one but I can see the possibility of it being suggested

Nice win by Harvard, time to talk about who they lose to $$$
Hinton is obvious but i see his dad went to Harvard law and he went to Harvard Westlake so i expect they value the degree

Surprising win. They are so small and not very deep. Agreed Hinton could get NIL if he wants too. Pigge might prefer to finish at this point. That leaves Batties as a possibility.

Turns out the answer to who the conference is going to lose to NIL is someone who hasn't even played in the conference yet. Harvard's big recruit for next year, top 50 shooting guard named Elzie Harrington, just decommitted to go to USC instead. His dad is best friends with Amaker too. Beyond devastating.

Thanks for sharing this painful development
I see his recruitment was a big thing on your board
Wonder if he is officially going to get paid vs nil
How do Ivies compete in this new world
Our coach is hopeful that transfers and jucos can be part of the answer but the whole early committment thing seems outdated as teams are putting together a professional roster with so much turnover

  • LocalTiger Said:
Dalen Davis will be sought after.

After this year he might be more seeking than sought.

Just throwing in here, that although this thread as about ugrad transfers, i know there are some graduating seniors out of eligibility who are really hoping the NCAA gives five years to all (as they said in jan they were considering) for possible grad years

Seems like Townsend could be working his way into this conversation as well. He’s a junior (like Simmons), so maybe that makes it tough to leave and give up the Yale degree. But man is he playing well right now.

nick might be a rhodes scholar if he chooses to pursue it.

given his academic pedigree i dont worry about him so much.

but there are others on yale where i do.

Watched penn yale last nite, going to be interest in Celiscar, Aletan, Simmons et al
Roberts from Penn has an agent, with three years of eligibility!
Hypothetically, Sam Brown is interesting now that he seems to be over sophomore slump.
Seems like Lee at Princeton now needs to show he can do it at next level given some recent performances?

Last years transfers out continue to do well, Perkins is really coming on at Nova and should get a big bump in $ with two years left at least

That assumes a 5th year of eligibility for all players. Right now, Roberts only has 2 years left.

If they do go to 5 years, curious how the Ivy adjusts. Do we allow 5 years? Or still limit to 4 and encourage grad transfers (which might be a good thing for the league, as it might improve recruiting and reduce undergrad transfers)? And what happens to the 4 in 5 rule? Does it become 5 in 6? Something else?

aletan has an nil agent and was offered by the big boys in tx already.

otherwise you can read the above. you dont worry abt townsend but yes the whole team is susceptible.

celiscar will be a beast. but he had soft higher offers too. and showed out on the circuit so was easy to predict his success as i did.

wait until you see yales class next year. haha-they are all good and cld transfer. the game continues.

the only surprise is nil is pushing down high end players in hs to the IL. at least so far.
