Certainly outmanned today.
Every season Tommy tries to shake things up by benching starters for the opening 4 minutes. Did so today resulting in an 17-5 deficit. Starters hung tough for a while once entering, but the game was out of reach by then.
Ruined todays game as Harvard couldn’t dig its way out of that hole.

Putting Hunt and Barbour in the starting lineup would have been fine if he was taking Hinton and Lesmond out. But taking out our only guy over 6'5" in Batties for the 5'9" Nesbitt when we were going up against the biggest front line in the conference was just suicidal.

It wouldn't have mattered; we collapsed down the stretch anyway. But that early 12 points that Tommy spotted them sure loomed large when we made our only semi-run in the second half to cut it to 15.

Batties and Hunt had tough nights shooting; they had a lot of very good looks from three that they just couldn't hit. But we struggled to get a defensive rebound even when we had our actual starters in. We badly need Luca back. Seems like he's out of the walking boot. He mightn not be too far away...

My reaction was motivated by seeing us cut the deficit to 15 as you mention and thinking that the team was playing well - which it was. Of course, the starters can't go 40 minutes effectively so our lack of depth would have caught up eventually, but going down 17-5 immediately and knowing we were likely outmanned turned this thing into an non-competitive scrimmage of sorts. Would have turned the game off but kept it on in the background while I did some work on my computer and checked in on the women's game for solace.

I remember thinking who is all Ivy defensive stalwart MBeng needed to cover and I couldn't come up with anyone.
